    Calypso has been lovingly styled to evoke a nostalgic sense of the 1960s. It has been furnished with classic midcentury pieces, original artworks and quality linen. Calypso is all set for holiday accommodation and we can’t wait to share it with you!

    My partner and I stayed at Deirdre’s fabulous midcentury home “Calypso” for 5 nights. This is one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed. The house itself is beautifully renovated and has everything you could possibly desire in terms of amenities. For lovers of MCM it’s a perfect paradise of style, space and comfort. The setting above Beauty Bay is gorgeous and as avid swimmers we were happy to be only 2 minutes away from a secluded little beach. A walking track takes you straight into St. Helen’s. We wish we had a bit longer to explore all the dining options, but we did visit Furneaux the award winning, yet unpretentious French restaurant a short walk from the house. In short, Calypso is in a great location to explore the stunning Northeast coast of Tassie, Binalong Bay and other nearby beaches and come home to a beautiful and relaxing home.

    Myself, partner and little baby had a fantastic experience in this beautiful home. We thoroughly appreciated the quality of the furnishings, attention to detail and cleanliness of the place. So many interesting books and things to look at. And plenty of spaces to sit and savour mid-century modern living. Deirdre was very responsive and provided everything we asked for. Brilliant stay!

    Our family of 4 loved our 2 night stay at Calypso. The house is stunning - beautifully styled and wonderful mid century modern vibe. It was such a treat to have the front verandah with gorgeous bay views and the back decking and lovely garden. The second bathroom with large shower and spacious laundry was also very appreciated. I’d love to come back in the cooler months and use the gorgeous wood heater in the lounge room.

    We had 3 nights in this beautiful mid century cottage and we were so happy to have it as our base as we explored the surrounding areas. The home had immaculate attention to detail capturing its era which made it fun, quirky and homely. The back yard was a treasure trove of fruits, herbs and our chill zone for sunsets and bbq’s. A short drive to Binalong and Bay of Fires which was our favourite location of the trip.
    In town there’s an incredible Providore and the IGA was super handy. We could walk to town but chose to drive (3 minutes).
    Deirdre was super helpful and responded to any questions in a very timely manner. A truly beautiful little home thoughtfully styled for a very enjoyable stay.
