Retro kitchenware

I have a burgeoning passion for retro kitchenware—some might even call it my new obsession! I’m always on the hunt for stunning vintage pieces, and at Calypso, I’ve curated a collection that nods to the house’s 1960s charm. Guests will find classic Nallyware canisters, which are a delightful throwback to the past, as well as cheerful Midwinter Stonehenge Sun pieces. Though these are from the 1970s, their timeless appeal won me over, so I knew they had to be put to use. Alongside these treasures, there’s a mix of other quirky retro finds—like a charming bread bin, a whimsical salt tub, and of course, the beloved Japanese drip glaze stacking mugs. I'm constantly adding to the collection, creating a nostalgic atmosphere where every piece has its own story to tell.

Our gorgeous Nallyware canisters. Ok, the Tea is missing its T and the g in Sugar is missing its descender, but besides that, these white canisters are a delightful throwback to the past.

How could I resist this cheerful Stonehenge Midwinter Sun set.

Cute Japanese drip glaze stacking mugs are perfect for that morning cuppa.

The cutlery was gifted to me by my cousin who had them tucked away in a box for many years. I was a bit short on spoons and remarkably I found a set of 8 desert spoons that were an exact match at the St Helens Community Op Shop.
